After picking a number to be called out instead of calling the number straight away the caller would call out the alcohol combination denoted by that number. The participants would consider the tag as their actual ticket and would decode the numbers taking the help of the alcohol names with numbers given on the beer mug and then cross them out in their tambola tickets.

For example– If the caller wants to call of number 84, then instead of calling out the actual number he/she would say beer with tequila as in the ticket number 8 denotes beer and number four denotes tequila. So 84 will form a combination ‘beer with tequila’ that has to be called out.
